How to solve high processor consume and overheating issue on Windows 10

Hello there. Since the release of Windows 10, there were many discussions on it's advantages and disadvantages. Also there were some people who have faced some annoying issues like always ON fan and High CPU load when not in use etc.Today I'm gonna give you a quick and tested solution to solve above problems.

If you are having above issues and when you checking the task manager information (ctrl+alt+delete), you can realize that CPU load is almost near to 100% and fan is spinning every time.If you can check carefully, you will see that the process called "svhost" is consuming a huge CPU power.Yes, this is the reason for the fan noise too. "svhost" or the "service host" as name implies host most of the major services of your PC. Therefore you cannot stop it and also it wont even if you try. But if you check the process details of "svhost" you can see that a process called "windows Update" or "update" is running and consuming a lot from CPU. This is the windows update service. As you know there are no direct methods to stop the automatic updates in Windows 10. So when you start your PC ,it starts fetching updates immediately. So the only solution is to stop the update service. In order to do that do the following:

  1. Right click on Windows Update process in service host > open services
  2. In the services window, find the entry called "Windows Updates"
  3. Right click on it and select "properties"
  4. Then set startup methode as "disabled" > click OK
  5. Now restsrt your computer.
After restart, you will realize that the high CPU load is no more and fan is also quet as well. Make a comment below if there are any doubts. Like our Facebook Page to stay up to date with new tutorials.
